Omar Thornton's "Anti-Racist" Killing Spree

Oddly, last night Manchester, Connecticut Shooting.: Several Dead; Omar Thornton Identified As Shooter, at the LA Times, was at the top of a Google news search for Thornton. The fact that Thornton was black was mentioned three or four paragraphs in. On page 4 the significance of the Hollander family was mentioned. Unfortunately I did not excerpt the story, and cannot find any archive of it.

Today that LAT link redirects to a two page report, Manchester Shooting: 9 Dead; Omar Thornton Identified As Shooter at Courant.com, which omits both facts.

Searching again today it is possible to find other stories that make Thornton's race and race-based motivation clear, eg. Omar Thornton: "I Killed the Five Racists" - Crimesider - CBS News.

However, most mainstream stories have, as of now, reduced the jewish angle to orthodox jew Louis Felder being amongst those killed.

The Hollander reference remains at Jewish father of 3 killed in Conn. rampage | JTA - Jewish & Israel News:
Steve Hollander, the company's head of marketing, and a member of the Hollander family that founded and owns the company, was reported to have been shot, according to the Hartford Courant.

“The Hollander family is probably one of the most venerated families in the Hartford area in the Jewish community," U.S. Rep. John Larson (D-Conn.) told the Courant. "There isn’t a charity that they haven’t contributed to.”
The LAT and Courant may have memory-holed this aspect of the story, but the New York Times hasn't: Behind Hartford Distributors, a Charitable Family.

When Whites commit crimes, nobody in the media makes excuses. If there's a racial angle it is magnified, not suppressed. Such incidents produce immediate calls to pathologize and silence "conservatives"/"teabaggers"/"haters", however tenuously linked to the incident. The insinuation, if not outright accusation, is that any expression of collective interests by Whites is immoral, unethical, and evil. Even when Whites don't explicitly identify or organize by race we are cynically accused of deviously hiding our true motives.

Of course the broad-based anti-White "anti-racism" pumped out by the media 24/7 can be measured by the same yardstick. The media uniformly treats "people of color" as having legitimate grievances both as a whole as as various independent non-White "communities". They serve up numerous narratives concerning suffering and perennial victimhood at the hands of Whites, encourage activism on this basis, and generally defend those who do act. Taken as a whole it constitutes a deliberate incitement to violence against Whites. And that's exactly what it produces.

Sometimes this impacts jews. To the extent Thornton was acting on a hatred of Whites he'll be painted by the media as a victim and "racism" will be blamed. On the other hand, if it is determined that Thornton was acting against jews he'll be demonized and the most politically incorrect form of "racism", "anti-semitism", will be blamed. Either way, "anti-racism" is both excused and validated at the same time.

Connecticut Shooting: Hartford Distributors CEO Ross Hollander Denies Racism Set Off Omar Thornton - ABC News:

After hunting down and killing coworkers that he thought were racist, the gunman at the Connecticut beer distributorship called 911 and calmly explained that he was done shooting but wished he had murdered more.

"You probably want to know the reason for this," Omar Thornton said in a relaxed tone."This place is a racist place. They treat me bad over here and all the other black employees bad over here too."

"So I took it into my own hands and handled the problem," he said. "I wish I could've got more of the people."

. . .

Thornton passed over several people during the rampage inside and around the distributor, according to Manchester Police Lt. Chris Davis, who said Wednesday authorities believe the first few victims were likely targeted.

Davis declined to specify who the first of Thornton's victims were, but said that many of those who were killed were "executives" or "higher level" employees.

. . .

Early Wednesday Manchester police released the names of those who died in the shooting. Among the dead are 57-year-old Francis Fazio Jr., 56-year-old Douglas Scruton, 49-year-old Edwin Kennison, 51-year-old William Ackerman, 51-year-old Bryan Cirigliano, 60-year-old Craig Pepin, 50-year-old Louis Felder Jr. and 61-year-old Victor James.

Police listed two men survived gunshot wounds. In addition to Steven Hollander, 77-year-old Jerome Rosenstein is in critical condition at Hartford Hospital.

Connecticut Shooting: Bryan Cirigliano, A Family Man - Courant.com:

Bryan Cirigliano was shot when he ran towards Thornton, police said, after he took aim at chief financial officer Steve Hollander and Louis J. Felder, director of operations. Cirigliano was representing Thornton at a disciplinary hearing where he was asked to resign.

Mike Cirigliano said he is not surprised by his brother's show of courage.

"In our family, we don't run away from anything," he said.

"Bryan did not see people as color — Bryan just saw another Teamster trying to keep a job."

Mike Cirigliano said friend who is employed by Hartford Distributors and was at the scene of the shooting called him Tuesday morning.

"The only words still ringing through his head is Bryan yelling out, 'No Omar, no Omar! No!" he said.

Mike Cirigliano said Hollander told him Wednesday that if it hadn't been for Bryan, he might not have made it.

So at least one guy got killed trying to defend the "racists".

Two black writers who blame anyone but the shooter.

Handle with Care: Racism, Omar Thornton, and the Connecticut Workplace Shooting Rampage « SpeakEasy:

But the timing of this story could not have been worse. In the long hot summer of Tea Party Breitbart white racial resentment and Chicken Littlesque “the sky is falling” because we have a black President politics, it won’t take long for this complicated story of human failing, weakness, and tragedy to be fit into a white racially reactionary frame. Stated more simply, for many on the Right, Omar Thornton’s murderous deeds will be magically linked to President Obama, and this tragic incident will be proof positive that “those people” don’t know “their place.”

A frightening thought: How long until the racially resentful cabal of angry white men who are “losing their country” decide to actively strike back?

Editor and founder of the blog We Are Respectable Negroes which has been featured by the NY Times, the Utne Reader, and The Atlantic Monthly. Writing under a pseudonym, Chauncey DeVega's essays on race, popular culture, and politics have appeared in various books, as well as on such sites as the Washington Post's The Root and Popmatters.

Workplace Bullying: An angry Omar Thornton lashed out against his employer:

So, how can someone do this? It’s public knowledge that workplace bullying creates angry employees. Why did they do this? There are no laws prohibiting workplace bullying and no internal audits of control to assure that employees are being treated fairly in the workplace. As a result, superiors with authority are not impugned for their abusive behavior. We need something in place to hold our superiors accountable for their abuse.

Questions linger in the aftermath of the Omar Thornton workplace shooting:

Not only has this story invoked a lot of empathy toward the families of the victims, it has caused a lot of hatred toward Mr. Thornton and African-Americans per se. There’s a website called VNN Forum that discusses the Omar Thornton incident where users casually use the “N” word in a dehumanizing manner that identifies the African-American human being as an “it.” Having read a few of the comments on the website, I was appalled by what I was reading. If this is what Mr. Thornton was seeing and hearing on the job, it is not surprising that he went mad! However, if any of the above statements regarding the workplace environment are true, it’s the employer who should be held liable to the families for causing the wrongful deaths of their loved ones. May the victims rest in peace and their families find solace here on Earth.

Sailer asks, "What's a hate crime?"

It's never too early to discuss what should be done if evidence of white racism emerges in this investigation.

It's drop-dead easy to predict what will happen if evidence of "anti-semitism" emerges. The media narrative on Thornton will instantly flip from victim to monster.

At the moment the media is busy clearing select "racists".

Shooting Victims Made Heroic Efforts | NBC Connecticut:

Jerry Rosenstein, 77 of West Hartford, went after Thornton in a golf cart and tried to run him down.

. . .

Officials said on Wednesday that Thornton shot first at the people who were in the meeting -- Bryan Cirigliano, 51, of Newington, Louis Felder Jr., 50, of Stamford, and HDI executive Steven Hollander, 50, of South Windsor.

. . .

Cirigliano, president of the local unit of the Teamsters union, tried to stop Thornton when the shooting began, the Hartford Courant reports.

Felder was shot and died instantly, the Courant reports.

Hollander was shot twice and was released from Hartford Hospital on Tuesday.

Cirigliano ran toward Thornton, trying to stop the shooting, and was shot in the head, the Courant reports.

Thornton avoided some offices as he went after more coworkers. One person to avoid the gunfire was a woman in wheelchair, the newspaper reports.

Then, the Courant reports, Thornton chased Victor James, 61, of Windsor, and Edwin Kennison, 49, of East Hartford, out of the warehouse and shot them as they ran down a driveway.

Douglas Scruton, 56, of Manchester and New Hampshire, was on a forklift and was looking for the source of the noise when Thornton shot him from 40 feet away, the Courant reports. The forklift struck a wall and ignited.

James, Craig Pepin, 60, of South Windsor, and Francis Fazio, 57, of Bristol, likely saved lives when they warned other coworkers to flee. Thornton chased all three of them and shot them, the newspaper reports.

This point was too hot for Sailer at "What's a hate crime?" He generally doesn't approve comments highlighting White/jew double standards.

It's never too early to discuss what should be done if evidence of white racism emerges in this investigation.

It will be deemed a hate crime post haste if and when any evidence of "anti-semitism" emerges.

See for example, Local Synagogue Vandalized With Words of Hate | NBC Washington. No suspects and yet "Montgomery County police are investigating more than a dozen different slogans and symbols as a hate crime, including change found at the door, which Rabbi Sunshine believes insinuates Jews are money hungry."

Some graffiti and loose change. The horror.

Racial Overtones in Bid for a Tennessee Congressional Seat - NYTimes.com, 13 Sept 2009:

“To know Steve Cohen is to know that he really does not think very much of African-Americans,” Mr. Herenton said in a recent radio interview on KWAM. “He’s played the black community well.”

The primary election in August 2010 pits an unlikely officeholder — a Jew in a deeply Christian region, a middle-age white man known for fighting for blacks and women — against a prominent challenger. Already, the campaign has proved how deeply race still infuses much of politics in the South, even after the election of a black president.

. . .

“This seat was set aside for people who look like me,” said Mr. Herenton’s campaign manager, Sidney Chism, a black county commissioner. “It wasn’t set aside for a Jew or a Christian. It was set aside so that blacks could have representation.”

Mr. Cohen, 60, is a well-known Memphis liberal who considered joining the Congressional Black Caucus, wrote a national apology for slavery and the Jim Crow laws, and received an “A” rating from the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.

I vote like a black woman,” he said in an interview. “I don’t know the black experience, but I know about being a minority and being discriminated against because of religion.”

But his unusual identity — as one of only two white members of Congress from majority black districts — makes him vulnerable politically. In the last election, his opponent ran a much-vilified advertisement that tried to link Mr. Cohen to the Ku Klux Klan. It juxtaposed Mr. Cohen with an image of a hooded Klansman and criticized him for voting not to rename a city park currently named for a Klan founder, Nathan Bedford Forrest.

Note how this article, like the Kos one, asserts that Cohen is both "white" and jew - though it's clear the jew thing is what's really important when comparing him to blacks.

OT: "WASHINGTON – Records show that about 47,000 people have been removed or deported from the U.S. after the Homeland Security Department sifted through 3 million sets of fingerprints taken from bookings at local jails.

About one-quarter of those kicked out of the country did not have criminal records, according to government data obtained by immigration advocacy groups that have filed a lawsuit. The groups plan to release the data Tuesday and provided early copies to The Associated Press.

"ICE has pulled a bait and switch, with local law enforcement spending more time and resources facilitating the deportations of bus boys and gardeners than murderers and rapists and at considerable cost to local community policing strategies, making us all less safe," said Peter Markowitz, director of the Immigration Justice Clinic at Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York."

"This point was too hot for Sailer at "What's a hate crime?" He generally doesn't approve comments highlighting White/jew double standards."

Steve Sailer mistakenly thinks of Blacks and Whites as inevitable polar opposits in American politics, with post-1965 immigrants as swing voters who will be more attracted to the (White) Republican Party than the (Black) Democratic Party if, only White Republicans will show enough self-respect. He sees Jews as an inevitable elite. He concedes that our current American Jewish elite has some nasty traits, but he believes that they can be reformed into a benevolent elite with a sense of noblese obligee. Steven Speilberg is his ideal elite Jew, the template he wishes the rest would follow.

That was the gist of his VDARE review of "Racism/Schmacism" and his TAC article on the conservative elements within Hollywood.

I greatly disagree with his assesment. If the Republicans had run a PaleoConservative ticket, Tancredo/Paul instead of McCain/Palin for instance, and the Democrats had run a non-Black candidate like Hillary Clinton, Jews, not Blacks, would have been the group which voted most overwhelmingly Democratic.

The true polar opposites in American politics are the White working/middle class on the one hand, and elite Jews on the other. Whites should be able to rally Blacks to a platform based on patriotic immigration reform (lower rents/higher wages/less unemployment) and a non-interventionist foreign policy (less government expenditure abroad = working class tax cut at home).

The leadership of both parties makes only meaningless noises in the pretense of answering to mass constituencies - White, black, or brown. In reality they answer to a plutocratic constituency, divided on some issues, but of one mind on open borders, global finance, the GWOT, "anti-racism", and of course, "anti-anti-semitism". That's why both parties in the US, and the kosher establishment parties in the rest of the West, are so similar on these issues. Through their money and media, a judaized, cosmopolitan elite calls the political tune throughout the West.

Spot on. Their money and media control filters western politicians especially in the Anglosphere. They can disagree on all sorts of issues but must conform on those which are required for our ongoing genocide and the supposed protection of Israel. Mavericks are mostly squeezed out of the process early on and those few that do make it through despite jewish influence find themselves alone and unable to make much of a difference.

What's odd is the Russians, Chinese and especially the oil-rich Arabs haven't done the same as the jews and bought a set of whore-politicians who will do their bidding alongside satellite news organizations that provide a friendly media platform for them.

Perhaps they will.
