The Jew Cries Out in Pain as He Strikes You

Canada Gets Tough on Anti-Semitsim, Avi Benlolo, President and CEO, Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center, Canada, Huffington Post, 21 Sept 2011:
The government of Canada took an historic step yesterday by signing the Ottawa Protocol to Combat Anti-Semitism. By doing so, it recognized anti-Semitism as a pernicious evil and a global threat against the Jewish people, the State of Israel and free, democratic countries everywhere. As Prime Minister Stephen Harper has noted, "Those who would hate and destroy the Jewish people would ultimately hate and destroy the rest of us as well."

The protocol is a declaration that hatred of this nature will not be tolerated in this country. It sets out an action plan for supporting initiatives that combat anti-Semitism and provides a framework for other nations to follow.

It also sets out a vibrant definition of anti-Semitism which, for the first time in history, links anti-Semitism to the denial of the right Jewish people have to their ancestral home land -- the State of Israel. This, in fact, is what sets post-World War Two anti-Semitism apart from its historic roots. Today's anti-Semitism is all about denial: denial of the legitimacy of Zionism as a Jewish movement to reclaim the land of Israel; denial of a Jewish history in connection to the holy land and, in particular, the centrality of Jerusalem to the Jewish people; denial of the Holocaust (while at the same time accusing Jews of Nazism); and denial of Jews to live free of anti-Semitism, hate and intolerance.
Unquestionably, the Government of Canada's stance on Israel is based on the principle of standing by your friends -- especially when they are democracies and advocates for human rights. Most Jewish leaders would agree that Israel is indeed Canada's greatest ally in the fight against hate and intolerance.

But the fight against hatred and anti-Semitism must be won here in Canada as well. The Ottawa Protocol is mostly the result of a report published this summer by a Canadian Parliamentary Coalition to Combat Anti-Semitism which was comprised of leading Canadian politicians who volunteered their time to probe the increasing and alarming tide of anti-Semitism in Canada.
The Ottawa Protocol to Combat Anti-Semitism is a template for every Canadian to consider. But it is especially a document of significance for universities that have allowed themselves to become vehicles of hatred and complicit in its promotion. As my friend, Professor Irwin Cotler said last night at the Ottawa signing ceremony, anti-Semitism is not only the longest known form of hatred in the history of humanity -- it is the only form of hatred that is truly global.

Every person of conscience should take note of the Ottawa Protocols and never forget the lessons of the Holocaust when the world was silent.
The full text of the Ottawa Protocol:
We remain alarmed by ongoing state-sanctioned genocidal antisemitism and related extremist ideologies. If antisemitism is the most enduring of hatreds, and genocide is the most horrific of crimes, then the convergence of the genocidal intent embodied in antisemitic ideology is the most toxic of combinations.

We are appalled by the resurgence of the classic anti-Jewish libels, including:

+ The Blood Libel (that Jews use the blood of children for ritual sacrifice)
+ The Jews as "Poisoners of the Wells" - responsible for all evils in the world
+ The myth of the "new Protocols of the Elders of Zion" - the tsarist forgery that proclaimed an international Jewish conspiracy bent on world domination - and accuses the Jews of controlling government, the economy, media and public institutions.
+ The double entendre of denying the Holocaust - accusing the Jews of fabricating the Holocaust as a hoax - and the nazification of the Jew and the Jewish people.

This is very serious stuff.

Jews as the 1st among all people to be enshrined in politics and law: Govts to spy on their people, criminalise them and prosecute them

Encouraging countries throughout the world to establish mechanisms for reporting and monitoring on domestic and international antisemitism, along the lines of the "Combating Antisemitism Act of 2010" recently introduced in the United States Congress;

Jews as the 1st among all religions to be enshrined in all religions:

Encouraging the leaders of all religious faiths - represented also at this Conference - to use all means possible to combat antisemitism and all forms of hatred and discrimination;

Jews as the 1st among all cultures to be enshrined in all cultures:

Calling on the Parliamentary Forum of the Community of Democracies to make the combating of hatred and antisemitism a priority in their work; etc

Being Jewish is racial, religious and cultural and they are going to suppress exactly those three aspects in White people and impose themselves on us and thereby annihilate us.

By doing so, it recognized anti-Semitism as a pernicious evil and a global threat against the Jewish people, the State of Israel and free, democratic countries everywhere.

Threats one and two are undeniable. It's the assumption of that third threat that has had me scratching my head for the past ten years or so. I suppose it all depends on what one means by free and democratic. It seems a bit too convenient to me.

As Prime Minister Stephen Harper has noted, "Those who would hate and destroy the Jewish people would ultimately hate and destroy the rest of us as well."

Would they? Who are they? Who is us? The self-serving presumptions behind the quoted statement makes me incredibly uncomfortable.

This reminds me of Paul Kersey's unofficial slogan at his blog, SBPDL - "You can have a space program, or you can have BRA."

Reading this post, and thinking back to the GoV debate and others I've seen/participated in, I think I'll add "You can have free speech, or you can have Jews." Hmmm, whatever shall we choose?

I was reading over at OO and found this comment: "They went for the control points . .. They were ambitious, ruthless, and promoted each other." Pretty pithy.

As Prime Minister Stephen Harper has noted, "Those who would hate and destroy the Jewish people would ultimately hate and destroy the rest of us as well."

Well... That's quite a leap.

This is really unfuckingbelievable. But it happens all the time so I'm used to it.

Wake me up when they start executing us.

"myth of the "new Protocols of the Elders of Zion" - the tsarist forgery"

It's always fascinated me, that use of the particular word, "forgery."

Now, a forgery, like on a check when you forge someone's name, you are copying something legitimate, someone's legitimate signature, without authorization.

It's not that the signature is invented from whole cloth, but that the copying of it is unauthorized.

Consider:

The Protocols have been around for a very long time.

Jews are very smart, or so we are told. At the very least they are verbally facile and have enough money to buy a dictionary.
So you'd think they'd have realized
already that the word that means a falsity made up to smear someone else is "fabrication." Hmm. Yet they repeat,
"forgery," "forgery," "forgery," everywhere they mention PotEoZ.

.......

In fact, I think they know perfectly well what they are saying and that they chose their words with precision.

To wit: The Protocols are not an invention of pyschotic Cossacks, because if they were we would be told they are a "fabrication," but indeed ARE a "forgery," and the actual authors are expressing outrage at its UNAUTHORIZED COPYING.

Can you believe they actually call this a "protocol"? Hilarious.

The very first line of this article 'It also sets out a vibrant definition of anti-Semitism ..' tells the informed reader that we are now going to read a series of lies and distortion. Propaganda in other words.

The freedom to speak freely is being strangled to death by this sort of legislation that uses Zionist cries of anti-Semitism and Nazism as its weakling excuse.

A good reason that someone would hate Israel, Zionists or Jews in general would be for what they do. Nothing to do with being Jewish and minding your own business.

Jewish people should be against this sort of power grab, for it reeks of the spirit of 'Nazism' complained of in the article.

BTW, Tanstaafl, I like your defense of truth.

Well said Svigor, though I would simply say jews. The ashkenazim may dominate and lead the various sects - askenazim, sephardim, zionist, anti-zionist, religious, secular - they all join together to war as one. As jews. That's what they call themselves. That's the banner they fight under.
