After a recent exchange I suspect Johnson will no longer have any desire to republish my writing. At any rate, I intend for it to be clear that I now object to it.

Sorry to be obtuse, but having looked at the stuff over at Counter Currents, and reading that great column on Robertson, I'm not privy to what seems to be the beef. Would you care to extrapolate further?

IMO, Greggy picked a fight with you for no other reason than he likes to do that sort of thing. I read the exchange and you were simply stating your opinion over Wilmot Robertson's use of euphemisms such as "majority" and "minority" instead of direct language. Apparently, there is no room for debate on Counter Currents amongst like minded people.
There was a time when I felt sorry for Greg because I thought some people picked on him, but it appears that Greg Johnson brings it upon himself by his treatment of others. Greg is a very good writer, but lacks character and is immature for someone in his early 50's.
That reads me to like one of those "we can agree to disagree" situations. Except that they didn't.
What's really funny is that the insistence on precise and accurate language echoes exactly what Auster tended to say about people like Mark Steyn and Melanie Phillips when they would refuse to mention immigration and Islam specifically. He had a point, but his absolutism in rejecting outright anything that didn't meet his own standards was a weakness. It didn't and doesn't mean that Mark Steyn isn't saying anything worthwhile. Same goes here.

Not familiar with the guy, but reading through the comments, I quickly came to that conclusion as well. Smart, but as a consequence of his lack of character, unfocused and (also as a consequence) unable to resist ad hominem.

Auster's insistence on "precise and accurate language" was by no means a weakness. In fact, it's why it was so important to mercilessly attack and expose him, lest others mistook his understanding of intellectual integrity for intellectual integrity itself.
I commend Tan for his insistence on precise, direct language. He raises the bar, and in so doing exposes the frauds and weaklings.
Auster's dissembling was rife with dishonest minority/majority terminology. As an unapologetic fifth-columnist for his tribe he was far more prone to pilpul for the purpose of obfuscation than precise language in the service of clarity.
What a sleazy bastard Greg Johnson is. How dare he talk to you like he did.
Reading that exchange made me very angry. He flat out lied about you Tan, calling you "evil" and a "douche". How ought to look on the mirror.
He has to be somewhat threatened by you, because what in the hell else caused the CATLADY to have such a hissy fit I wonder?
