Afghanistan = Homeland

Napolitano Visit Aimed at Beefing Up Afghan Border Security, Customs:
KABUL, Afghanistan -- During an unannounced New Year's Eve visit to Afghanistan, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano traveled to the country's mountainous border region near Pakistan to see first-hand her department's efforts in the war effort there.

"Seeing is worth a thousand words," Napolitano said after the tour, to which Fox News was granted exclusive access. "This all involves safety and security in this part of the world. And that is something that has direct connection as well to the United States."
Direct connection to the United States?

What I'm seeing is a regime engaging in Orwellian doubletalk, crushing us with debt and sending our soldiers to die on the other side of the world defending other people's borders while it obstructs our attempts to beef up safety and security in our own part of the world.

The regime could hardly demonstrate its illegitimacy any more clearly.

It may be of interest that whatdoesitmean.com the notorious disinfo Sorcha Faal site has a report about western leaders; Angela Merkel, David Cameron, Obama, Sarkozy (and now Napolitano) who have all recently made "surprise" visits to Afghanistan. Supposedly to view a "time well" that contains an ancient "vimana."

If I'm not mistaken, Hillary Clinton also made a visit to Afghanistan not too long ago.

The story is a wild one about the supposed discovery of a "time well" in Afghanistan that contains an ancient "vimana."

Could you please erase the bottom paragraph of my post about the vimana. I accidently left it there by mistake. Thanks.

fraallIt's the old "over there-over here" argument again:if we don't fight them over there we'll have to fight them over here. They said it about the Viet Cong and now they say it about the Taliban. As if the Viet Cong really could cross the Pacific with bamboo rafts and invade the USA!Now we have to be afraid the Taliban will invade the USA on camelback.

Israel stands up for G-d about women.

Women are not allowed to testify in rabbinical courts, which handle divorce and marriage for all Jews. They cannot divorce without a husband’s permission, and childless widows need a brother-in-law’s approval for remarriage. If a woman has been widowed three times, with all three husbands dying of natural causes, she is declared the isha katlanit, the fatal woman, and is legally forbidden to marry again. If a husband simply disappears, no matter how long he has been missing; his wife cannot remarry without absolute proof of his death…”

A man may commit adultery and eventually marry his lover, while a married woman is forbidden ever to marry her lover, and any children born from an extramarital affair are considered bastards (mamzerim). In Judaism a bastard is a pariah. He or she cannot marry unless the potential spouse is also a bastard. Neither can a bastard in Israel marry outside the faith as the exclusive control of marriage in Israel by the religious authorities precludes such a possibility.
Israel maintains levirate marriage: a woman whose husband dies leaving her childless must be released from her deceased husband’s unmarried brother in a ceremony carried out in rabbinical court.

Napolitano circumspect on Israeli air tips for U.S | Reuters:

"Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano played down on Tuesday prospects of adopting Israeli-style aviation security in response to protests at intrusive patdowns and screenings at American airports.

Visiting Israel to assess its streamlined and sometimes controversial system, Napolitano defended her administration's measures as appropriate to the scale and legal requirements of U.S. air travel, and said they were gaining public support.

"I don't see any changes in the immediate future," she told Reuters. "We are always refining our procedure, but the point is that we have fewer than one percent of the traveling public opt out of the system, and so part of what is going on is people adjusting to the changes in airport security."

Homeland Security Axes Bush-Era 'Virtual Fence' Project:

"DHS briefed Congress today on my decision to end SBInet as originally conceived and on a new path forward for security technology along the Southwest border," Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano said today. "There is no 'one-size-fits-all' solution to meet our border technology needs, and this new strategy is tailored to the unique needs of each border region."

DHS will utilize some of the existing technologies that were found to be useful in what the agency is calling a southwest border security technology plan.

The new DHS plan for border security is two pronged. The first prong is to ignore age-old, proven technologies involving concrete and armed men, as for example used in Israel. The second prong is to sue the pants off the state of Arizona for trying to improve its border security.

There's a third prong...

Say you are going to spend a shitload of money, pass legislation to secure the funding, over spend the budget during the planning phase, take an absurd amount of time and then say the technology has changed.

No need to re-invent the wheel (or take out the old concrete and man-power one). They have a system in place that works just fine.
